The candidate must possess at least four years of experience with a large public accounting firm and overall public accounting experience of at least five years.
The candidate must have the self-confidence needed to take the lead or defer the lead when it serves the success of the project.
The candidate must be able to accept the vagaries of client demand which will result in unexpected as well as scheduled overtime.
The candidate may be required to travel, though probably no more than 5% of the time.
The candidate must have a "driven" work ethic, have high performance standards, able to act independent of direction, a team player, must answer to the firm and obey firm guidelines and proactively offer suggestions for improvement and must be organized.
The candidate should be able to identify plans for revenue generation that will exceed the cost of his or her employment.
