Find your tax refund status.

If you are looking to find out the status of your tax refund, there is a fairly simple way to get the information you need.

FOR STATE REFUNDS: Start by going on line to your state's Department of Revenue website. As an example if you live in the state of Missouri, type into your search engine www.dor.mo.gov. You will be delivered to the Missouri Department of Revenue home page where you will see a pictoral menu indicating the services offered. One of the pictures will offer the option to "Find Your Refund". Follow the instructions and your refund status will be provided. Each state Department of Revenue offers a similar service through its website.

FOR FREDERAL TAX REFUNDS: Start by going to the IRS website www.IRS.gov and click on the "Individual" tab on the navigation bar. The first article on the list of informational pieces will be titled "Where's My Tax Refund, It's quick, easy and secure". Click on the hyperlink and follow the instructions.
